Your first project

The shortest useful path

  1. Create or choose a GitHub repository.
  2. Open the web editor and create a project from that repository.
  3. Install the generated site's dependencies.
  4. Connect Cloudflare Pages to draft for preview (production stays on Bunny from main).
  5. Create a page and add a Hero, Heading and Richtext block.
  6. Save to draft, wait for the preview build, then publish to main.

Keep the first project small. The goal is to understand the relationship between the editor, JSON content and the Astro build.

Start locally
pnpm install
pnpm --filter @magiccms/web dev
# In a generated site:
npm install
npm run dev

What to look at next

Once the first page works, read Content model and Using MagiCMS. Then read Deployment before connecting a production domain.
